It’s important that the right people on the account receive lead notifications. Any email address marked as an Administrator on the company’s account will receive these notifications.
Factors Determining Lead Distribution
Lead distribution is based on the company’s distance settings or their selected metro area:
- Distance: We compare the ZIP codes of the lead and the company. We measure the distance “as the crow flies” based on the selected radius, up to 100 miles.
- Metro Area: We compare the metro areas of the lead and the company. If there is an overlap, the company will receive the lead. The company’s package level and the number of companies in the area also influence when and if they receive the lead.
A lead’s ZIP code is usually associated with one metro area, as determined by the US Census Bureau, but it can be linked to up to three additional metro areas if:
- The ZIP code is closer to the center of another metro area (as the crow flies)
- The ZIP code is closer in driving distance to the center of another metro area
- The ZIP code has a shorter drive time to the center of another metro area
Lead Notification Timing
Gold companies are notified first, within 15 minutes of lead approval. If no Gold companies are available, the lead is sent to Silver companies, followed by Bronze companies if necessary.
Notification Timing Details:
- If fewer than 5 Gold companies are notified, Silver companies are notified 1 day later.
- If fewer than 10 Gold companies are notified, Silver companies are notified 2 days later.
- If fewer than 20 Gold companies are notified, Silver companies are notified 4 days later.
- If 20+ Gold companies are notified, Silver companies are notified 7 days later.
- If fewer than 10 Gold and Silver companies are notified, Bronze companies are notified 10 days after the initial submission.
- If more than 10 Gold and Silver companies are notified, Bronze companies are not notified.
