When a Marketplace auction item is won, the item amount is pre-authorized for seven days. After seven days, the pre-authorization will expire. When the pre-authorization has expired, payment can still be attempted, but the funds are no longer guaranteed.
To capture payment for orders before the pre-authorization expires, you can
- Mark the item as shipped.
- Mark the item as picked up.
- Click Capture Payment when viewing the order.
You will receive an email 48 hours before the pre-authorization of an order expires so you have time to address the problem and collect payment before the authorization expires.
