Processing Orders for Pick-up and Shipping
Pick-Up
- Access Your Order: Click View Orders from your Account Home page and search or filter your orders.
- Send Pick-up Instructions: Complete the pickup information and provide a URL for your buyers to sign up using any third-party scheduling tool. Clicking Send Instructions will send an email with a pickup code to your buyer.
- Mark Picked Up: After you send pick-up instructions, the item will move to the bottom of the list and transition to the processing state. Click Mark Picked Up and choose the verification method you accept.
Shipping
- Access Your Order: Click View Orders from your Account Home page and search or filter your orders.
- Click Ship/Mark Shipped: Mark how the item will be shipped, either through EstateSales.NET or an external provider. To ship through EstateSales.NET you will need to create an account with Shippo. You can also provide tracking information to the buyer on this step.
- Click Mark As Shipped: Once an item is marked as shipped it will capture payment for the item and move to the completed state.

Local Pickup Information
Sellers can offer local pickup as an alternative or in addition to shipping for Marketplace orders.
Pickup Details
Pickup details are specified when listing an item on the Marketplace and are visible to potential buyers. These details provide basic information about the pickup process. While exact times or dates may not be finalized, sellers can share estimated pickup dates.
Local Pickup Discount
If both shipping and local pickup are offered, sellers can choose to provide a discount for buyers who opt for local pickup. This discount is often equivalent to the shipping cost, reflecting the seller's savings when an item isn’t shipped.
Pickup Instructions
After an item is purchased, sellers need to provide specific pickup instructions. These instructions include critical information for both the buyer and the seller.

While pickup details are general, pickup instructions often include more specific information such as appointment scheduling links.
Pickup Code and Verification
A unique pickup code is sent to buyers via email for verification at pickup. Sellers should confirm this code before releasing the item. Additional verification methods include checking the last four digits of the buyer's credit card. Sellers can bypass this process, but it is not recommended, as it limits support in case of disputes.
After verification, the seller must click "Mark Picked Up" to finalize the transaction. Transactions are only complete once the pickup code or verification is provided, or the "Capture Funds" button is clicked.
Shipping Options
Sellers can choose whether to include shipping in the item price or list it separately.
Shipping Included
When shipping is included, the shipping cost is built into the total price. For instance, if a seller lists an item at $50 and includes $5 for shipping, the buyer will see a total price of $50, but the seller will net $45 after shipping costs.
Some businesses prefer this option as research suggests buyers are more likely to purchase items with a single, combined price.
Shipping Not Included
In this case, shipping costs are displayed separately. For example, if an item is listed at $50 and shipping is $5, the buyer sees a total price of $55. The seller keeps the full $50 for the item.
Third-party Shipping
Sellers are not required to use Shippo for shipping through the Marketplace. They can use any third-party carrier and provide the buyer with tracking information. If they choose not to provide tracking, the seller assumes full responsibility for any disputes that may arise.
Combined Shipping
When multiple items are purchased by the same buyer and shipped to the same address, sellers can combine the shipping. The system automatically identifies eligible orders for combined shipping, though sellers can choose to decline.
Note: Combining shipping will not adjust the total shipping cost. The buyer will still be charged shipping for each item. If a seller wishes to discount shipping, they must issue a partial refund.
Printing Shipping Labels
Shipping labels can only be printed through the EstateSales.NET system if the seller uses Shippo.
